It is extremely difficult to make the Hoop Obsession daily All-Summer League team. With ten games per day, and only 12 spots on our daily "best of", many excellent performances go unmentioned.

If we added a "second team" for Sunday's games, the players on it would include: Thomas Bryant, De'Anthony Melton, Jonathan Stark, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jonathan Isaac, Jordan Loyd, Rashad Vaughn, Justin Jackson, Keita Bates-Diop, Landry Nnoko, Diamond Stone, and Travis Trice.

Vegas day two, Bluiett achieves

The second day of play in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League wrapped up with Trevon Bluiett of the New Orleans Pelicans having the best efficiency rating (per minute). Bluiett went undrafted in 2018 after playing four years at Xavier.

It was a rough day for three players that played over 20 minutes but fell into the "zero" or, even worse, "minus" category. Those three were: Josh Jackson, Terrance Ferguson, and Dragan Bender.

If you wonder what one of those stat lines might look like...

Terrance Ferguson - 2 points (1-8 FG, 0-6 3-pt., 0-0 FT), 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 turnovers, 2 steals, 1 blocked shot in 27 minutes.

Kork pops in Vegas

Furkan Korkmaz scored 40 points (10-18 FG, 8-14 3-pt., 12-15 FT) on his way to being the most efficient player of the day Friday in the opening action of the 2018 NBA Las Vegas Summer League. Korkmaz added six rebounds and two assists in his 28 minutes. The Philadelphia 76'ers wing was the 26th player taken in the first round of the NBA Draft in 2016. Tyler Lydon - Denver. 7 points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3-pt, 2-2 FT), 7 rebounds, 3 assists in 21 minutes.

Codi Miller-McIntyre - Toronto. 9 points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3-pt., 1-2 FT), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocked shots in 21 minutes.

Aaron Holiday - 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3-pt., 2-2 FT), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals in 31 minutes.

It was a tough day for way too many players. Call it opening day jitters or call it what you want but we have not seen a day previously with so many players at either "zero efficiency" or worse yet, a "minus efficiency."

Players who played at least 20 minutes and had a "zero efficiency": Khyri Thomas (Detroit), Tim Quarterman (Milwaukee), TJ Leaf (Indiana), Jalen Brunson (Dallas), Dorian Finney-Smith (Dallas), Carick Felix (Washington), and Jacob Evans (Golden State).

Players that were in the dreaded "minus efficiency" category: DeAnthony Melton (Houston), Rodney Purvis (Orlando), Malcolm Miller (Toronto), Malachi Richardson (Toronto), and John Holland (Cleveland).
