Easy Sunday for Bassey

Charles Bassey was the most productive player Sunday in the 2025 NBA Summer League. Bassey came off the bench for the Boston Celtics to score 22 points (8-12 FG, 6-6 FT), while grabbing 13 rebounds, swiping two assists, and blocking three shots in 22 minutes. The Celtics beat the New York Knicks 94-81. Bassey is now 24 years old, a veteran of four NBA seasons.  He spent the last three years with the San Antonio Spurs. 

The Thomas and Mack Evens Center and Cox Pavilion hosted eight games on the day. Joining Bassey on the Hoop Obsession All-Summer League Team for July 13th:

Daniss Jenkins - Pistons. 23 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3-pt., 6-6 FT), 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals in 23 minutes.

A.J. Lawson - Raptors. 21 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 3-pt., 9-13 FT), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocked shots in 24 mins.  

Kevin McCullar Jr. - Knicks. 30 points (10-15 FG, 1-5 3-pt., 9-10 FT), 4 rebounds, 2 steals in 28 mins.  

Drew Timme - Nets. 30 points (13-24, 2-7 3-pt., 2-2 FT), 5 rebs., 3 assists in 31 mins.  

Tolu Smith - Pistons. 15 points (4-7 FG, 7-8 FT), 12 rebounds, 4 assits, 2 blocked shots in 23mins.  

Asa Newell - Hawks. 18 points (7-9 FG,  4-5 3-pt., 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds in 26 mins.  

Tristan Enaruna - Cavs. 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 3-pt.), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals in 26 mins.  

Pete Nance - Bucks. 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-6 3-pt., 2-2 FT), 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocked shots in 28 mins.  

Wendell Moore Jr. - Magic. 22 points (9-13 FG, 2-3 3-pt., 2-2 FT), 6 rebounds in 22 mins.  

Cody Williams - Jazz. 22 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3-pt., 5-6 FT), 8 rebouns, 4 assists, 3 steals in 36 mins. 

Jase Richardson - Magic. 19 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3-pt., 8-9 FT), 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocked shots in 25 mins.
