Kobe Johnson was the most productive player on a winning team during the fifth day of play at the NBA Las Vegas Summer League. Johnson scored 30 points (11-18 FG, 4-9 3-pt., 2-2 FT), with seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 23 minutes. The 23-year-old wing went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. He is the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson. His Hawks team beat the Boston Celtics, 102-90.
Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was taken from the court on a stretcher late in Utah’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Alexander appeared to injure his side or abdomen after making contact with Caleb Wilson on a drive to the basket. He went behind the basket clutching his side before falling to the floor in obvious pain. The injury occurred with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Alexander, 23, signed a two-way contract with the Jazz last week. There was no immediate update on his condition. The incident caused a lengthy delay and also pushed back the start of the game that followed.
